How it works

  1. 1Drop a folder’s worth of assets — PNG, JPG or WebP, batch friendly.
  2. 2Flat backgrounds are detected per file; edge pixels are unmixed so thin outlines and anti-aliasing survive.
  3. 3Download transparent PNGs, with batch rename for tidy asset pipelines.

Deterministic, so your pipeline can trust it

AI matting re-renders your art through a neural net: edges wobble between runs, thin outlines soften, flat colours pick up noise. This pipeline is pure geometry and colour math — the same asset always yields the same cutout, which is exactly what you want when assets go into a build.

Frequently asked questions

Will thin outlines and anti-aliased edges survive?

Yes — that is a main design goal. Edge pixels are unmixed back toward the foreground colour instead of being thresholded away, so 1px outlines stay crisp.

Does it handle glow and glass effects?

Glow and semi-transparent materials are modelled explicitly and keep their real alpha in the output PNG.

Does the classic magenta sprite-sheet background work?

Yes — any saturated flat colour works, magenta included; the background colour is detected automatically from each file’s edges.

Can I batch process and rename?

Yes. Drop multiple files, remove backgrounds in one pass, and use the built-in batch rename before downloading.
