Remove the background, keep the shadow
Cut a product, sticker or icon off its flat background without losing the drop shadow that grounds it. The shadow is measured against the background brightness and rebuilt with real alpha, not painted on.

How it works
- 1Drop your image — product shot, sticker sheet or icon.
- 2The solid background goes; the soft shadow stays, rebuilt as true transparency instead of a flattened smear.
- 3Download PNG with transparency and drop it onto any new background.
Most cutters delete the shadow. This one keeps it.
A drop shadow is background colour darkened and feathered — to most tools it looks like background, so it gets cut away with everything else. Here the shadow is separated from the background by brightness modelling and rebuilt as a per-pixel alpha gradient, so the object still sits naturally wherever you put it.
Frequently asked questions
Does shadow preservation work on white backgrounds?
Background removal works on white, but shadow preservation is at its best on saturated colours (green, magenta, cyan). On white and grey the shadow handling is deliberately more conservative.
Is the shadow a fake painted-on effect?
No. The shadow is already in your photo — its per-pixel opacity is measured against the background colour and converted to real alpha, so it composites correctly on any new background.
Will my image be uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser; the server only receives the detected background colour and image dimensions — never pixels.
What can I do with the result?
Download as a transparent PNG (or WebP/JPEG with a background colour of your choice) — ready for marketplaces, stickers or mockups.
