Why not just another AI cutout tool?
There is no neural network here. It is a deterministic matting pipeline: find the background colour, recover per-pixel coverage, unmix the edge colours. The same image always produces the same result, the whole thing is about 1.7 MB with no model download, and it works on flat-colour art where AI cutters smear the edges.

Will my image be uploaded?
No. The removal runs in your browser in a Web Worker — the server only receives the detected background colour, the image dimensions and a one-time challenge. No pixels ever leave your device.
Which solid colours work best?
Bright, saturated colours — green screen, magenta, cyan — give the sharpest edges and the best shadow preservation. White, grey and black also work; shadow handling on those is more conservative.
Do I need to pick the background colour?
No. The background colour is detected automatically from the pixels along the image edges, so a plain drop-in usually just works.
Is it free?
